Iván Licea and Two Others Injured in Downtown Dallas Hit-and-Run Crash on Pacific Avenue at Club VIVO

Dallas, Texas – Three people were injured on February 18 in a hit-and-run accident in Downtown Dallas, according to a local news source.

The crash happened outside Club VIVO on Pacific Avenue.

According to the report, Iván Licea and two of his family members were preparing to sell tacos from their food truck when a speeding car hit the back left corner of the truck.

Two men got out of the car, and minutes later, they got in again and fled the scene.

The three occupants inside the food truck fell and received some bruises. Licea sustained burns on his torso and part of his face from pots of boiling water and hot beans that were cooking. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The hit-and-run car was identified as a black Dodge Charger, with Texas license plate TPF9266.

The family started a GoFundMe to raise funds not only for the repairs of the food truck but also to help Licea with his living expenses for the time he won’t be able to work.

An investigation is ongoing.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A.
