Parmer County, TX – A person died and another was injured Wednesday night in a wrong-way collision in Parmer County near Farwell, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 9:00 p.m. on November 12 on US 70.
DPS said Jesus Eliso Espinoza Madrid, 26, was driving a pickup truck eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when he crashed head-on into another truck driven by Jacob Askew, 22, of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Askew was taken to UMC in Lubbock, where he was pronounced dead on Thursday, November 13.
Madrid was also taken to UMC in Lubbock in critical condition.
No other information was available.
The troopers are investigating the accident.
