Lubbock, TX – A woman was killed and another person was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The fatal collision occurred around 6:13 a.m. on September 29 at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Slaton Highway.
Police said Jenna Garcia, 31, was driving a minivan southbound on Olive Avenue, approaching Slaton Highway, where she entered the intersection and collided with a semi-truck that was traveling eastbound on Slaton Highway.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene,
The driver of the semi was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.
