Encino, TX – A man was killed Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Encino, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision occurred at about 6:53 a.m. on November 18 on FM 430 near County Road 315.
DPS said Joel Perez, 63, of Encino, was driving a 2021 Toyota Corolla westbound behind several other vehicles while a forklift was stopped on the eastbound side because of mechanical issues.
The vehicles ahead of Perez were creating heavy cloud of dust, and Perez moved into the eastbound lane where he crashed head-on into the forklift.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were provided.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
