Austin-Travis County EMS responded and pronounced Carrizales dead at the accident scene

Austin, TX. – 51-year-old John Carrizales has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Saturday morning in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened around 10:44 a.m. on Interstate 35 near the Slaughter Creek Overpass.
The man was participating in the annual Ride for the Fallen when he collided with another motorcycle.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded and pronounced Carrizales dead at the accident scene.
The other motorcyclist was not injured. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
