The 40-year-old San Angelo man driving the Suburban was not injured.

San Angelo, TX. – An 88-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday evening in San Angelo, Tom Green County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 87 and Debus Road.
John Ernest Schwartz, 88, was driving a 2022 GMC Sierra pickup truck north on Debus Road when he reportedly failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck a 2019 Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound on the highway.
Schwartz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 40-year-old San Angelo man driving the Suburban was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
