Beaumont, TX – The man who was killed on Friday in a pedestrian accident in Beaumont has been identified as Jose Martinez-Torres, 75, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:24 p.m. on August 29 in the 2000 block of South Martin Luther King Parkway.

Police said Martinez-Torres was struck by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
