Grand Prairie, TX – One person was killed, and another was injured on Friday in a head-on collision in Grand Prairie, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened on December 12 on Bush Turnpike.
DPS said a BMW X1 was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a Freightliner towing an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the BMW, 34-year-old Joshua Solis-Munoz, from Dallas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 18-wheeler driver, 60-year-old Pascal Moore, from Haslet, Texas, was taken to Medical City Arlington with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed the northbound lanes of Bush Turnpike at Marshall Drive.
The collision remains under investigation.
