The accident happened around 6:00 a.m. on October 2 at the intersection of Riverbank Drive and Logistics Street.

Laredo, TX – A man was critically injured early Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in North Laredo, according to the police.
The accident happened around 6:00 a.m. on October 2 at the intersection of Riverbank Drive and Logistics Street.
Police said Juan Manuel Garcia, 55, was talking to another truck driver in the middle of the street. He suddenly crossed the street, outside of a designated crosswalk, and was hit by a southbound gray Mazda 3 driven by 18-year-old Luis Rodriguez.
Garcia was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a San Antonio hospital in critical condition.
Rodriguez showed no signs of intoxication and cooperated with the investigators.
The police are investigating the accident.
