Wharton County, TX – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Wharton County, according to the authorities.
The collision happened just before 8:00 a.m. on July 31 on State Highway 60 near FM 2919.
Authorities said a Kendleton resident was driving a gray Jeep Cherokee northbound when they tried to pass another vehicle when it was unsafe, and they crashed head-on into a southbound Ford F-350.
The Kendleton resident was taken to a Houston hospital with serious injuries.
The Ford driver was taken to a Wharton hospital with minor injuries.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
