Austin, TX – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian dead in Austin in November last year, according to the Austin Police Department.

The incident took place on East Stassney Lane and Teri Road at about 6:29 p.m. on November 10.

According to APD, Kyla Walker, 39, was hit by a vehicle in the area and the involved driver fled from the scene before authorities arrived.

Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Friday, January 16, the APD released a report that they had arrested a suspect in connection with the deadly accident.

The suspect, identified as Aldair J. Albiter-Casas, a 28-year-old Hispanic male, was booked into the Travis County Jail on charges of collision involving death.

The Austin Police Department is investigating the accident.
