Brian Cisneros was driving the Sierra was airlifted to Christus Spohn Shoreline for treatment

Alice, TX. – 51-year-old Lea Roy Rodriguez was killed in a collision that left another man injured on Saturday in Alice.
According to local police, the accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on US 281 Northbound.
Rodriguez was driving a Toyota Solara southbound on US 281 when he rear-ended a Kenworth truck towing a semi-trailer. He proceeded traveling across the grassy median into the northbound lanes, where he collided head-on with a GMC Sierra. The impact caused the trailer to leave the road and roll.
The Toyota caught fire, trapping the Rodriguez.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
29-year-old Brian Cisneros, who was driving the Sierra, was airlifted to Christus Spohn Shoreline for treatment. His condition is still unknown.
The driver of the semi-truck and a passenger were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
