Leonel Salazar of O’Donnell died in the 9:15 a.m. collision on August 23 at US Highway 87 and Farm to Market Road 2053, according to the DPS.
Lynn County, TX – A 72-year-old man was killed in a Lynn County accident Friday morning, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Leonel Salazar of O’Donnell died in the 9:15 a.m. collision on August 23 at US Highway 87 and Farm to Market Road 2053, according to the DPS.
Preliminary investigation showed Salazar was in his vehicle stopped facing west on Farm to Market Road 2053 near the intersection of US Highway.

Javier Lucio, who was towing a semi-trailer and traveling northeast in the outside northbound lane on US 87, approaching the intersection, swerved left to avoid hitting Salazar. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided and Salazar was killed at the accident scene.
Lucio was not injured in the incident, according to the DPS.
The incident remains under investigation.
