The deadly collision happened around 6:33 p.m. on July 25 on State Highway 105 near FM 1748.

Grimes County, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Grimes County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision happened around 6:33 p.m. on July 25 on State Highway 105 near FM 1748.
DPS said a 2006 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on a curve in the roadway while it was raining. It failed to stay on its lane, veered into the eastbound lane, and hit a 2017 Ford Fusion.
The Fusion came to rest on the grassy shoulder. The driver, 37-year-old Louis Cummins of Brenham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the F-150, Isaiah Martinez, 26, of Brenham, was taken to Baylor Scott & White in College Station with minor injuries.
The accident closed the highway for several hours.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
