Midland, TX – A man was killed Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Midland, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly accident happened around 1:00 p.m. on November 6 at the intersection of State Highway 349 and East County Road 120.
DPS said a semi-truck was stopped in the center turn lane heading southbound. It began to turn left, failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and was struck by a northbound motorcycle.
Luis Mario Cardenas-De La Cruz, 20, who was riding the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the accident
The DPS is investigating the accident.
