Houston, TX –  Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving three vehicles that occurred on North Highway 59, early Tuesday morning.

The deadly accident happened at about about 6:35 a.m. on August 20 at 1800 North Interstate Highway 59.

According to HPD, a 65-year-old man was driving a silver Jeep Commander northbound on the IH-59 when he changed lanes and struck two other vehicles.

Houston police say the man then got out of his vehicle, stated he didn’t feel well, and then collapsed. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim was withheld notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The drivers of the other two vehicles remained at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
