Orange, TX – A man was injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Orange, according to the Texas DPS.
The collision occurred at about 6:20 p.m. on January 5 on Interstate Highway 10 west near the 878-mile marker.
DPS said a 2022 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound when it was involved in a collision with a westbound 2020 Ram flatbed truck hauling two 250-gallon tanks filled with a caustic alkali liquid.
The collision caused one of the tanks to spill.
The Camry driver, a 53-year-old Silsbee man, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ram flatbed, a 61-year-old Wharton man, was uninjured in the accident.
The westbound lanes of I-10 were closed after the collision.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
