The fatal collision happened around 3:22 p.m. on August 10 at the intersection of 58th Street and Quaker Avenue.

Lubbock, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Central Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The fatal collision happened around 3:22 p.m. on August 10 at the intersection of 58th Street and Quaker Avenue.
Police said Mark Edens, 55, was driving an SUV northbound in the 5800 block of Quaker while Stephen Clark, 71, was driving a passenger car westbound in the 4300 block of 58th Street.
As Edens was turning southbound into the 5800 block of Quaker Avenue, he collided with Clark at the intersection.
The SUV rolled over after the impact.
Edens, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his car and was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died. His passenger, Xinchun Un, 58, sustained minor injuries.
Clark also sustained minor injuries.
Clark and Un were not taken to the hospital.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the accident.
