According to the DPS, the tractor-trailer accident happened around 2:22 p.m. on August 27 at SH 136 and FM 2018, about four miles south of Gruver.

Hansford County, TX – The Texas DPS has identified two drivers who died Tuesday afternoon after their semi-trucks collided near Gruver as Mark Ray, 56, of Clinton, Oklahoma, and Adrian Ceniceros 20, of Perryton.

DPS said Mark Ray was driving a 2021 Peterbilt semi-truck westbound on FM 2018 while Adrian Ceniceros was driving a 2001 Freightliner semi-truck northbound on SH 136. Ray reportedly ran the stop sign at the intersection of FM 2018 and SH 136 and crashed into the Freightliner. Both vehicles caught fire following the collision

Both Ray and Ceniceros were declared dead at the scene, according to the DPS.

Hansford County, TX – Two men were killed in a fiery traffic collision involving two semi-trucks in Hansford County on Tuesday, according to The Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to the DPS, the tractor-trailer accident happened around 2:22 p.m. on August 27 at SH 136 and FM 2018, about four miles south of Gruver.

DPS said a 2021 Peterbilt semi-truck was traveling westbound on FM 2018 while a 2001 Freightliner semi-truck was northbound on SH 136. The driver of the Peterbilt ignored the stop sign at the intersection of FM 2018 and SH 136 and crashed into the Freightliner.

Authorities say trucks caught on fire after the collision.

As per the DPD, both male drivers were pronounced dead on the scene by the Hansford County Justice of the Peace.

An investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
