The crash happened at about 3:56 p.m. on July 1 in the area of Interstate 20 at the eastbound mile marker 47.

Reeves County — A 79-year-old female, identified as Mary Susan Gano, of Riesel, was killed following a two-vehicle fatal collision on Interstate 20 in Reeves County on Monday afternoon, according to a DPS report.
The crash happened at about 3:56 p.m. on July 1 in the area of Interstate 20 at the eastbound mile marker 47.
According to the Texas DPS, a preliminary investigation showed that a 2019 Kenworth T3 driven by a 60-year-old Midland man was stopped and stationary in the eastbound left lane of the freeway.
Gano was driving a 2023 Jeep Compass eastbound in the right lane of IH 20, near mile marker 47 when she made a lane change into the left lane and rear-ended the Kenworth.
Gano was critically injured and was transported to Reeves Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Kenworth Robert Raymond Lalum, 60, of Midland, was injured during the incident.
No additional information regarding the crash remains under investigation.
