Kingsville, TX – A man was killed Tuesday morning in a motorcycle accident in Kingsville, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 11:57 a.m. on December 30 at the intersection of Caesar Avenue and 8th Street.
Police said a 2000 Ford pickup was traveling westbound when it turned left in front of a 2025 Yamaha motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Caesar Avenue, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist, Moises Castillo, 35, of Kingsville, was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital–Kleberg, where he was pronounced dead. He was scheduled to be sworn in as a Kingsville police officer.
The Ford driver, a 67-year-old Kingsville resident, sustained minor injuries.
The Texas DPS troopers and the Kingsville police are investigating the accident.
