Wichita Falls, Texas – One person was seriously injured Saturday night in a motorcycle accident in Wichita Falls, according to the Wichita Falls Police Department.

The crash happened just before 10:00 p.m., June 15, at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Kemp Boulevard.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Southwest Parkway and was waiting behind another vehicle at the red light at the intersection. A motorcycle was also traveling westbound when it failed to stop and rear-ended the truck. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle over the truck. He was taken to United Regional Hospital with head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
