Rider Injured in North Austin Motorcycle Accident on West Parmer Lane near Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park

Austin, Texas – A motorcyclist was injured on Saturday in a hit-and-run accident in North Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m., June 15, in the 1200 block of West Parmer Lane, not too far from Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park.
Police said a man in his 20s or early 30s allegedly stole beer from a 7-Eleven on West Parmer before getting into his vehicle. He then hit a motorcyclist, causing them to crash and sustain non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect continued heading westbound in the eastbound lanes before turning onto Scofield Farms Drive.
The suspect was described as having a thin build and is of short to average height. His vehicle was a black or dark-colored, four-door sedan.
The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call APD at 512-974-TIPS or submit a tip to Capital Area Crime Stoppers online or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that leads to an arrest.
