San Antonio, TX – A motorcyclist was injured Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the SAPD.
The accident was reported just before 5:00 p.m. on October 10 in the 2800 block of Rigsby Avenue.
Police said a 68-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound. An eastbound white Buick sedan switched lanes due to heavy traffic and struck the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to crash and fall onto the roadway.
The Buick fled the scene after the accident, and witnesses gave officers the vehicle’s license plate number. The officers located the driver at his registered address, where he was interviewed and arrested. He is facing a charge of collision involving injury.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.
No other details were provided.
The police are investigating the accident.
