Odessa, TX – Multiple people were injured Friday evening in a multi-vehicle collision in Odessa, according to the police.
The collision happened around 7:26 p.m. on October 10 in the area of 24th Street and County Road.
Police said Jonah Ray Huitron was driving a Hyundai Sonata at a high rate of speed and was weaving through traffic when he hit a white sedan, swerved into oncoming traffic, and hit a Chevrolet Silverado and a white Acura sedan.
Huitron and the passengers in the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger in the Sonata suffered serious injuries. All were taken to MCH for treatment.
Huitron was found to have been driving while intoxicated and was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault and Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions. He was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
The police are investigating the accident.
