Mansfield, TX – A North Texas man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a car in Mansfield.

The deadly accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on July 7 in the 1900 block of FM 157.

According to the Texas DPS, a motorcycle was traveling northbound on FM 157 and a car was heading southbound on the same road.

The driver of the car then tried to turn left onto Moore Road and the motorcycle crashed into the right passenger side of the vehicle.

The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike due to the impact.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the rider on the ground and unconscious.

The rider was rushed to Mansfield Methodist Hospital with life-saving measures being performed.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3:09 p.m.

The driver and passengers of the car were treated at the scene by Mansfield medics for non-serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
