Dallas, TX – A police officer was injured early Sunday morning after being involved in a collision with an alleged intoxicated driver in Dallas, according to the authorities.
The collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. on October 12 in the 100 block of the Dallas-Fort Worth Turnpike.
Authorities said Jacinda McVea, 21, was driving at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended a marked police cruiser.
The officer in the police cruiser was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
McVea was arrested and taken to the Dallas County jail, where she is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated with an open container, a Class A Misdemeanor.
The police are conducting the investigation.
