Loving County, Texas – A 33-year-old Odessa man, identified as Omar David Ramirez, is dead following a two-vehicle traffic collision in Loving County on Monday afternoon, according the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

DPS troopers said the collision happened at  about 3:20 p.m. on County Road 300 near mile marker 1, on December 2.

Troopers said a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a semi-truck collided head-on.

Preliminary investigation showed that driver of Omar Ramirez was driving the Chevrolet southbound on County Road 300 when, for some reassosn, he crossed over into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the semi-truck.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the incient.

The incident remains under investigation.
