Fort Worth, TX – A 25-year-old man has been arrested following a traffic collision that resulted in another driver being ejected from their vehicle and killed in Fort Worth Saturday night, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The accident happened at about 9:22 p.m. on September 7 in the 2100 block of Jacksboro Highway.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Jose Ramirez Olmedo’s vehicle collided with another vehicle, causing the driver of the second vehicle to be thrown out of the vehicle.

The ejected driver was taken to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.

According to Fort Worth police, Jose Olmedo fled the scene of the accident before the responding officers arrived.

Ramirezolmedo has since been arrested and charged with accident involving death.

No additional details regarding the accident were provided.
