El Paso, TX. – Two people were killed in a traffic collision involving a DUI motorist in East El Paso on Saturday night, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck took place in the area of Rojas Drive and Eastlake Boulevard at about 11:37 p.m. on November 2.

According to the report, Dalia Olivas, 28, and her fiancé Rick Ballard, 29, were driving in the area when their vehicle was hit by a vehicle operated by a suspected DUI driver

Ballard was pronounced deceased at the scene while Olivas died at a hospital.

The other driver, a 23-year-old, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested on two counts of intoxicated manslaughter.

The incident is under investigation.
