Houston, TX – A motorcyclist was killed after following an early morning traffic collision on US-290 in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly accident happened at about 2:44 a.m. on eastbound US-290 at Interstate 10 direct connector.

Reportedly, Houston PD and fire personnel responded to the scene and found a rider pinned underneath a sedan.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured in the incident.

The collision impacted the freeway and all inbound traffic was directed to Interstate 10. The roadway has since reopened.

No additional information was provided.

The deadly accident remains under investigation.
