San Antonio, TX – A male motorcycle rider was killed after losing control and being crushed by a truck on Northwest Loop 410 near North Star Mall in San Antonio Tuesday night.

According to San Antonio police, the fatal accident occured just after 10 p.m. on September 24, in the 300 block of Northwest Loop 410, between San Pedro Avenue and McCullough Avenue

Police said the 28-year-old man driving a motorcycle along the Northwest Loop 410 access road when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a concrete curb causing him to be ejected from the bike.

Police said the man was lying in the roadway when he was run over by a fuel tank truck.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released pending notification to the next of kin.

No additional details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
