San Antonio, TX. – A driver has died while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a collision involving two drivers who were racing on a highway in San Antonio on Wednesday night.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the accident happened around 11:28 p.m. in the 8700 block of IH-10 E eastbound.
A white BMW M4 was racing with a white BMW M34 when one of the cars rear-ended a Nissan operated by 33-year-old Robert Espinoza.
The Nissan rotated several times and finally came to rest on the main lanes.
Espinoza was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died.
The BMW drivers, both 20 years old, were arrested and charged with racing, causing serious bodily injury.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
