Dallas, TX — Two people who died Monday afternoon when a luxury car crashed into a tree after colliding with Toyota Corrola at Abrams Road at Royal Lane has been identified.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Cristobal Flores Espino, 29, and Robert Rocha, 31.

Espino was driving the McLaren with Rocha as a passenger.

One person in the other vehicle was hospitalized following the collision.

Dallas, TX — Two people died when a McLaren sports car split in half after crashing into a tree following a two-vehicle collision in Lake Highlands Monday afternoon, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR).

The deadly traffic collision happened at about 3:10 p.m. on December 9 in the 8500 block of Abrams Road at Royal Lane.

According to DFR, a McLaren sports car and a Toyota Corolla were involved in the collision.

After the two vehicles collided, the McLaren struck a tree splitting the car in two and killing both people inside.

Authorities said heavey rescue was need as the two deceased people in the vehicle were inaccessible to first responders.

The identities of the victims were witheld pending next of kin notification.

According to the Fire Department, the woman driving the Toyota was hospitalized with minor injuries.

No additional information was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
