Houston, TX – One person was killed on Friday in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 8:55 p.m., June 21, in the 13300 block of Cullen Boulevard.
Police said a black Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound when it struck Scott Cavitt, 44, who was crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk.
Cavitt was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Silverado driver left the scene after the accident but later returned. He was questioned, found not to be intoxicated, and was released.
The police are investigating the accident.
