The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. on October 1 at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Loop 20.

Laredo, TX – Several people were injured Wednesday afternoon after a DPS chase ended in a two-vehicle collision in Laredo, according to the authorities.
The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. on October 1 at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Loop 20.
DPS said a trooper attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling northbound on Mines Road near Fasken Boulevard. The driver fled at a high rate of speed, turning onto Loop 20, and was pursued by the trooper.
The Chevrolet driver lost control and hit a gray Ford Expedition on the I-35 frontage road.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Three illegal migrants in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Expedition and a passenger were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Charges are pending against the Chevrolet driver. A warrant is expected once he is released from the hospital.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
