Lubbock, TX – A motorcycle rider, identified as Adam Pearson, who was seriously injured after colliding with a vehicle in South Lubbock on July 23 has died, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
Pearson had suffered serious injuries in the July 23 collision with an SUV at the intersection of 144th Street and University Avenue and was transported to University Medical Center.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, Pearson succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, July 31.

Adam Pearson Seriously Injured in South Lubbock Motorcycle Accident
Lubbock, TX – One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in South Lubbock Tuesday night, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
Reportedly, the incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. on July 23 at the intersection of 144th Street and University Avenue.
According to LPD, officers responded to the scene and located a motorcycle and a vehicle involved in the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as Adam Pearson, 40, sustained serious injuries and was transported to UMC via ambulance.
According to LPD, the initial investigation showed that Pearson was driving behind an SUV when the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
The incident remains under investigation.
