The officer and the truck driver did not sustain serious injuries and were treated at the scene and released

Lampasas County, TX. – A Texas Highway Patrol officer was injured in a collision on Friday night in Lampasas County.
According to TxDPS, the accident happened around 11:18 p.m. on U.S. Highway 190 near County Road 3068.
The officer was preparing to make a U-turn to pursue a reported reckless driver when the patrol unit was struck by a big rig.
The officer and the truck driver did not sustain serious injuries and were treated at the scene and released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
