The deadly collision happened at about 12:14 a.m., December 29 on Bethany Drive and involved a purple Dodge Challenger and a a Honda CR-V.

Allen, TX – One person was killed after two vehicles collided in Allen early Sunday, according to Allen police.
The deadly collision happened at about 12:14 a.m., December 29 on Bethany Drive and involved a purple Dodge Challenger and a a Honda CR-V.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the Dodge Challenger, operated by Taranjeet Singh, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the Honda. Both vehicles were traveling in the same traveling in the same direction, police said.
Following the impact, Singh lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle rolled into a creek beneath Bethany Drive, Allen police said in a press release.
Responding officers found Singh unresponsive in the overturned vehicle. The officers and emergency crews extricated Singh and performed life-saving measures. Unfortunately, Singh succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, as per the release.
The driver of the Honda remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The incident remains under investigation.
