Sherman, TX. – A teen was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident in Sherman on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Sherman Police Department, the accident happened around 2:53 p.m. at the 700 block of South Dewey Avenue.
The teen was reportedly struck by a pickup truck driven by an older male who left the scene.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver was later located and booked into the Grayson County Jail on multiple charges, including collision involving serious bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury, and driving while intoxicated.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
