Odessa, TX – Three people were injured, two critically, following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an Odessa intersection early Thursday morning, according to the Odessa Police Department.
The accident happened on August 22, 2024, at approximately 5:47 a.m. at 100th Street and U.S. Highway 385.
Reportedly, officers from Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the scene and located two vehicles and three patients.
An initial investigation revealed that a black Dodge Challenger was heading southbound on U.S. Highway 385 when it was struck by a silver Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on 100th Street.

Authorities say the Toyota Corolla failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by the Dodge Challenger.
Both the driver of the Dodge Challenger and the driver of the Toyota Corolla sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident. The front seat passenger of the Dodge sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All three patients were transported to a local hospital, according to the Odessa Police Department.
