Midland, TX – The Midland Police is investigating a two-vehicle traffic collision that claimed the life of a 73-year-old man on State Highway 191 in Midland, according to a police report.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:12 a.m. on July 12 in the 8700 block of State Highway 191.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Chevy Cruz, operated by 73-year-old Tommy Earl Palmer, stopped in the westbound roadway in the 8700 block of State Highway 191 for unknown reasons.
The driver of a Peterbilt cement truck crashed into the stopped Chevy on the highway.
Emergency crews responded and transported Palmer to Midland Memorial Hospital where he later died.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
The incident remained under investigation.
