Austin, TX – The police are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian accident that claimed the life of 58-year-old Tony Almanza in Austin last week Thursday, according to the Austin Police Department.
The deadly accident happened at about 10:08 p.m. on September 5 in the 3400 block of South Congress Avenue, Austin police said in a press release.

According to APD, Almanza was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle, identified as 34-year-old Julie K Kotria, left the scene but was later arrested for an accident involving death.
No additional information regarding the accident was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
