The fatal accident happened just before 1:30 a.m., May 12, on the Dallas North Tollway near Royal Lane.

Dallas, Texas – The identities of the victims who were involved in a wrong-way accident that left one person dead and five others injured early Monday morning have been released, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal accident happened just before 1:30 a.m., May 12, on the Dallas North Tollway near Royal Lane.
DPS said Michael Majewski, 50, of Arlington, was driving a 2017 Nissan Altima northbound in the southbound lanes of the tollway when he side-swiped an 18-wheeler and then collided head-on with a 2016 Nissan Altima.
Majewski and four others were trapped and had to be extricated from the wreckage.
Majewski was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the 2016 Altima, Shakila Hudson, 31, of Cedar Hill, was also taken to Parkland with incapacitating injuries.
Trania Jackson, 28, of Cedar Hill, who was a passenger in Hudson’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other passengers, Delonna High, 34, of Huntsville, Alabama and Bianca Stroughter, 32, of DeSoto, were taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Another passenger, Chuanteya Weaver, 24, of Indianapolis, was taken to Parkland with serious injuries.
The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
