Arlington, TX – A 31-year-old man, identified as Tyler White,  was killed and two women were hospitalized in critical condition following a traffic collision in Arlington early Saturday morning, according to the Arlington Police Department,

APD said the accident happened on N. Watson Road near Division Street.

As per the police, the deadly incident began when a 42-year-old woman, operating a Hyundai Veloster along N. Watson Road,  lost control of her car and went off the roadway.

The woman called a friend, later identified as Tyler White, to come and help her.

Police said White drove his GMC Yukon to the scene to help the woman.

Reportedly, the two were trying to attach a tow cable from the woman’s car to White’s GMC when they were struck by a speeding BMW X1.

Officers arrived at the accident scene at about 1 a.m. on December 14 and found White and the woman critically injured and lying on the ground, according to APD.

The two patients were transported to the hospital, where White was pronounced dead. White’s friend was listed in critical condition.

The driver of the BMW, a 34-year-old woman, was also badly injured in the collision. Police said she had to be extricated and transported to the hospital where she was also listed in critical condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
