Lubbock, TX – A pedestrian who was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on 50th Street in Central Lubbock on Saturday night, January 1 has died, according to LPD.

Police said Ernest Uballe, 44, was crossing south in the 1200 block of 50th Street when he was hit by a westbound passenger car, operated by Eric Wells, 46.

According to the police, Uballe sustained serious injuries in the 8:47 p.m. collision and was transported to University Medical Center.

Unfortunately, Uballe died from his injuries at about 3 a.m. Sunday at the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.

Lubbock, TX – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on 50th Street in Lubbock on Saturday evening.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened at about 8:47 p.m. on January 1 in the 1200 block of 50th Street.

Authorities said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries. The patient was transported to University Medical Center via EMS for medical treatment.

No additional details regarding the accident were provided.
