Fort Worth, TX – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the passenger who was killed in a six-vehicle pileup in Fort Worth early Thursday as Veronica Elzalde, 24.
Elzalde was a passenger in a sedan that was rear-ended by a passenger car at about 5:44 a.m. on October 31 on Interstate 35 at Sycamore School Road. Elzalde was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the sedan were injured and hospitalized.
Six vehicles were involved in the wreck.

Fort Worth, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on I-35 W in Fort Worth early Thursday morning.
The six-vehicle accident happened at about 5:44 a.m. on October 31 on Interstate 35 at Sycamore School Road.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a passenger car struck the rear of a sedan along the freeway and triggered a chain reaction involving four other passenger vehicles and a commercial vehicle.
One passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants of the sedan suffered serious injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital.
The police closed the highway for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
