San Antonio, TX – One person was killed and a passenger critically injured following a crash involving a flatbed truck and a car on a Northeast Side highway last week Thursday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The fatal rollover crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. July 18 in the westbound lanes of Loop 1604 at Judson Road.
As per the SAPD, a flatbed truck hydroplaned on the highway and flipped over onto another car.
The driver of the car, identified as 48-year-old Victor Gutierrez Garcia sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car was extricated from the wreckage and transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Major delays were experienced in the area as officers investigated the incident.
