Houston, TX – The 59-year-old woman who was injured in August in a pedestrian accident in Houston has died, according to the police.

The accident happened around 8:25 p.m. on August 23 in the 7300 block of Dixie Drive at the intersection of Telephone Road.

Police said a red Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound on Dixie and was attempting to turn right onto Telephone Road when it struck the 59-year-old woman who was in a crosswalk.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released on November 5. She was pronounced dead at her residence on November 17 due to complications from the accident. Her name has not been released.

The Toyota driver, a 17-year-old male, was cited for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.

The police are investigating the accident.
