Houston, TX – A 34-year-old woman was killed on Thursday in a pedestrian accident in southeast Houston, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened on January 8 in the 6500 block of the South Loop East (I-610).
Authorities said the woman was standing next to a disabled vehicle on the highway when she was struck by a gold Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 19-year-old.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The Malibu driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. She was not impaired at the time of the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
